…it’s time for us to join in the fight!

Today’s shot was done for both FGR and TRP (how’d you pull that off Pikespice?) where the theme was Weird Al.

The man in the hat is furious that the guy in the black shirt and blue jeans ate sushi at his restaurant and forgot to leave a tip, so he chases after him with a chainsaw. However, the guy’s car turns out to be an Autobot. Tough luck for chainsaw guy, but wait! Will he dare to be stupid?

I’m not entirely happy with the finished picture – it’s just not crazy enough! However, I do like the Transformers-Weird Al connection. The song that inspired this picture, "Dare To Be Stupid", was featured in Transformers: The Movie (no not the live action one… the real movie from the 80s). Weird Al was also the voice of Wreck Gar in the new animated series.

Some more references to the song can be found in the notes :).

  1. I gotta admit that that song didn’t really fit into the movie, but darn if it isn’t a great song on its own! I love it. And thanks for playing!

  2. BTW, I just noticed how many parts there are on that Bumblebee. Is it tough to transform? (The one from the 80s could be transformed in only 4 moves! lol)

  3. Great shot! I cannot believe that somebody would chase a guy for not leaving a tip or wearing blue jeans, with a chainsaw nevertheless!!! But then again it’s a crazy world out there 🙂
