Contingency Plan

Contingency Plan

The following documents are authentic. They have been altered slightly to fit the story, but only by the process of omission. The journal entries, letters, and transcribed tape recordings catalogue the events leading up to the Battle of Three Lakes Park, a small residential area in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, about twenty miles north of Fresno, California. According to many history books, World War III was already over by the time this battle, and thousands like it, was fought

Taking place in the year 2018 (after the completion of WW III), a group of people in Three Lakes Park decides to go to Fresno and fight the aliens. They feel that their small community is safe from the aliens so they depart. Little did they realize what was about to occur in their own little part of the world.

There are some interesting journal and tape entries for wives and husbands separated by the distance. Some gruesome events happen both at home and on the road.

The ending is excellent and a nice surprise for the reader. The black drink was also intoxicating, to say the least…

    Highly recommended.
