So I had a recurrent dream…

… as a child that I was actually an artificial life-form created by the government. It would certainly explain a few things.
Amazing picture. Job well done.
Excellent, Brian. That is so cool.
Eh. I was just bored. And if I could be bothered to do it over again, I think I could make it look a bit less crude. But it was entertaining, in any case …
Do you remember the movie Not Quite Human? That’s what this picture reminds me of. I used to love that movie as a kid!
All the force that we can think. All the dreams that torment us. Everything what must never be.
Technically, a perfect contrast for this topic. You know what you do.
@Todd: Thanks for that, I was trying to remember the title. I only vaguely remember the movie, but I’m pretty sure it was what inspired the dreams. Or maybe a few too many Ray Bradbury books …
B r i L L I A N T !!!
P.S.. its good for Artistic Photography if ur interested.
when i was a wee bairn i had a ‘bionic woman’ doll that had a panel like this in her arm that you could move and see her bionic-ness in. it freaked me out and i think i let the neighbour’s kid take it apart so i would stop having nightmares about it.
I spent hours as a kid drawing circuit boards on my skin for that oh so hip Bionic look.
We can rebuild him…
I think we all thought that as kids…well boys anyway…now I know I am just a psychological experiment gone awry…
Oh yeah — really awesome pic…how the hell?
I can’t look at this photo much longer, because I can spot all the places where I screwed up. But basically, I was clearing out my old clutter, found my old digital camera whose total worth was less than the cost of getting it to work properly, and decided to gut it and take pictures of the innards. I took a shot of one of the circuit boards, cut it out and pasted it atop a picture of my arm. Then I used the burn tool to darken its edges so it would appear to be under the skin. It wasn’t too difficult, but I realise now several ways it could have been better …
like the idea and how you did it!
I like it’s dreamyness. Perhaps you could do a more realistic version but I think I would still like this one more.
ouch. so you have a camera implanted in your arm? that’s serious photography.
Wow, I like it. Great idea.
Nice… I didn’t even notice the burn in trick until you mentioned it. Looked like some SERIOUS photoshop/C.G. skills. Cool trick and great effect!
llstarkll: I used to like that movie too!
It was in PhotoShop. I meant "cut and paste" and "burn tool" in the virtual PhotoShop sense. I wouldn’t be able to find my own ass in a darkroom.
your ass would probably be right behind you. even in the darkroom but I could be mistaken.
