Stranger Number 2 – Comfey

The One Hundred Strangers project is a learning group for people who want to improve the social and technical skills needed for taking portraits of strangers and telling their stories. The method is learning by doing.
Having the good fortune to work close to Camden Market, I decided to take a walk round this evening on my way home. The light was not great but I’m on the early shift and didn’t want to hang about.
As I was heading back to the tube station I saw Comfey walking with a friend. I’d seen her earlier and had thought she was striking and would be a good subject, but she’d been talking on her phone and I didn’t want to disturb her. This time I didn’t hesitate.
I explained the project and and she agreed to pose for me. It was very busy so it was difficult to find a good spot but one has to work with what one has and besides, with a striking beauty like this, who needs a background.
Comfey lives in SE London and came out Camden to visit a friend (I hope I’ve got the name right, it was quite loud next to the road and I’d already asked twice so didn’t to push it – I’m bad with names as I’m sure is becoming apparent).
Thanks for being a wonderful 2nd stranger and I hope you had a great time in Camden.
