Striker – Stranger #3

Striker – Stranger #3

Went down to the iconic rail station to see the CP Rail employees that are on strike right now. Haven’t been taking photos for a while. This is Ryan, he’s been working for CP for the last 6 years. They have been marching with dedication in and out of rainstorms all weekend. Didn’t have much time to take the shot, would have liked to have set it up more. Thanks Ryan for becoming Stranger #3

This picture is #03 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page

  1. To the extent that you were trying to include the background in order to tell a story, I think that the composition is just fine. If you wanted to focus attention more on the stranger, then the second photo would be more successfull.

  2. [] In a perfect world, you can get both an establishing shot or two that set the stage, some detail shots (maybe a close up of a sign or some such), and some portraits. But that’s more of a photo essay than a stand-alone stranger portrait. It looks like you’re off to a good start, though!

  3. I agree that the sign adds to the composition.

Please remember to include the link to the group, your photos will get removed from the pool otherwise.
