Today in Vancouver: Just weird angles | Victory Square in Gastown
Weird

I don’t know if you’ve tried taking a photo of Victory Square on West Hastings and Cambie, but I found it really tough. Everything was in such weird angles, even the slope of the grassy hill in the middle of the park. I kept moving around trying to find the right angle to fit key elements in, but it seems if I move too much to the left or right, I will lose one element or the other. Anyway, squint a little and just look at the composition.

  1. I actually "really" like this Rikki. I find it very creative (and this is the prettiest I have ever seen Victory Square) and especially love how (I think it is called) the Dominion building looks at this angle…makes me want to get inside and see all of the inner architectual aspects. Stephie is right, it does look slightly surreal, which I like, and the colors and light are just spectacular. PS: I found I didn’t need to squint to see the great and unique composition that is this image. :o)
Hope you have a great day! :o)
