  1. Yup, this happened to me too. My theory is that someone viewed your flickr site on Slideshow….. They just let it run and run and it went through all your pictures.

  2. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/titania1837] More common than I thought, I guess! 🙂

  3. I also see the same "Spikes" ( my counts aren’t quite yours,,, with my dailyies in the hundreds…) About the middle of March / into April…I spike into the thousands. I suspect it has something to do with exams/papers – Art History on University level…I’ve seen the same calendrical correlated spikes for three years now ( since i started tracking).

  4. Today the count is already past 43,000, so something is wonky. There’s no particular photo that’s getting hits. Just seems so random. I’m pretty sure it must be something like Otisourcat is saying, someone has their slideshow stuck! lol

  5. Just for fun I ran my daughter’s flickr pages on slideshow as she gets hardly any views but it didn’t register at all on her statistics even though I let it run all the way through. It’s odd.

I occasionally get funny spikes too but not as dramatic as this one

  6. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/92943860@N00] The craziest day was when it went over 200,000, but the next day or so it went back to normal, and still is. Must assume it’s a bot, I can’t think of anything else!

  7. Bizarre! One time I got 7,000+ hits on one photograph in a day and found it had been posted on Reddit. Nice photo but not that exceptional.
